Bio
It all started in the 80´ s. I had been taking some piano lessons. But as a creative person, I didn't feel that my task was to learn how to read and play sheet music. Then, around the year 1983, when Yamaha released the synthesizer model DX 7, I realized that synthesizers are instruments that I want to interact with.
I had just watched the movie "Return of the Jedi" and I was playing games on a Commodore 64 computer that I had bought with my very first paycheck. (income from mowing the lawn).
I was a big fan of science fiction, movies, robots and computers. Listening to all those movie soundtracks and game music. The C 64 SID sounds (4-voice Sound Interface Device) affected me. (Tried "Funky Drummer" and other 4-voice music software there, but never went to C 64- or Amiga "tracker lane" though).
When I first saw this music videos of the new era
and artists playing the Yamaha DX7 and other synthesizers, I was excited. Some years earlier, I had my brother fed my head with JMJ's album "Magnetic Fields". JMJ had just the right soundscapes, and these frequencies were written in to the grey mass inside my head forever.
So I grew up with the Music Television videos and I was always spotting synths and players from those. Like Nik Kershaw, Duran Duran, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Peter Gabriel, Vangelis and so many others using synthesizers.
As a result of these experiences, I fell in love with the world of synthesized music. Since then, I have become a self-taught music creator.
I bought my first synthesizer in 1987 and it was a used Siel Opera 6, a 6-voice Italian made analog synth with MIDI. Opera 6 was released in 1983 and was a part of my studio till 2020.
The very first MIDI implementation started in 1990, when I started to use Voyetra Sequencer for DOS. It was running in IBM PC AT computer.
My projects and songs are always started from some special tone or sound and the feelings of artificial frequencies.
Over the years I have written and produced over 300 musical "things" varying from ambient, electronic and trance styles. And now when I am a bit "older fart" already, I am willing to share these with the world too.
